Repair Broken Dark Tower Flags
Dark Tower Game Repair.
Recently I posted on the forum a
note to see if anyone was interested in learning a few of my "tricks or
the trade" so to speak. I did get a response from "Woodie" about
his tower flag, so I will dedicate this article to him.
Woodie, I am going to tell you in this piece how to repair your flags the easiest
most inexpensive way possible. There are more complicated ways but for game
play folks ( I think that is what you want) this is the article for you unless
you want to spend $8 to $10.00 on a replacement flag plus the shipping.
First we will need a Broken Flag
This is the most Common example
of a broken Dark Tower Flag.
The bottom has separated from the flag pole and it will no longer sit in the
tower cap or
Holes provided in the game board.
Repair Options
Easiest- if the flag is long enough go find you some of this.....
This is windshield wiper hose. It is hard but pliable plastic and can be painted
over with a semi gloss black paint if you want to get picky about it. The tubing
comes both in a roll or you can buy it by the foot. The cost is about 59 cents.
You should take your flag and good flag or the tower cap with you when you
go to the Auto Parts Store. Cut a piece long enough to slip over the bottom
of the flagpole (you can glue it later if you want) and see if it fits snug
in the hole. Remember that the diameter will expand slightly when you place
the flag in the tubing. Your repair should look something like This..
While it is not perfect it, is a lot better than what you had.
